Quaint and cozy, delicious cuisine for the palate and for the eye, friendly service.
The Klosterfischer is always the starting and landing point for hikes in this region. Mainly because I can also buy delicious fish here.
A really nice place. I ate a fish sandwich at the monastery fisherman. Not very cheap but extremely tasty. Here we could rest on the many seats by the ponds. We liked it. Service was quick and friendly. We will be back.
Regardless of whether it is a monastery or a monastery fisherman, it is simply wonderfully beautiful here, regardless of the season. Always like to come back here. A tour is worth it.
The staff is very friendly and humorous. The food was delicious and the room was okay. Only the bed creaks a lot 😏 All in all - recommendable!
Very nice outdoor area, but the rooms are very simple and have no rustic charm. The restaurant was ok. The fish was delicious, but very carelessly arranged and quite expensive. The service was friendly.
Very tasty and warmly prepared fish dishes. Short goods time and fair prices. After the meal, the pond management lures you to a digestive walk.
We went to dinner without pre-ordering and got a seat. The trout were excellent and the value for money is reasonable. The service was very friendly and the ordering times were reasonable. It won't be the last one here.
Much too small room with a slope. It was very difficult to get out on one side of the bed. Service in the restaurant bad. Were only served when requested. Trout blue didn't live up to expectations either. Only the breakfast room and the service there were very friendly and competent.
We went to eat there today. Well it was Sunday and everything was full. But we first waited 30 minutes at the table until we were asked about drinks. The food is very expensive. In terms of taste, however, it was good. The portions of the fish could be significantly larger. But the fries fill your stomach schon
The quiet location, the rooms and the buffet were good. Unfortunately there is a serious shortage of staff. On arrival we had to pick up the room key in the restaurant. Here we first watched as the food was carried past us for twenty minutes. If you are tired and Coming from a hike hungry is particularly difficult. We had to look for the room ourselves on the premises. When leaving, nobody was really responsible. Then gave the keys to an unfriendly gentleman. If there is a lack of staff, there should be at least sufficient information in the form of signs or information brochures.
Great location of the restaurant, menu interesting, food, drinks, dessert, service, price great. I can only recommend it. The only thing that was uncomfortable and embarrassing for me - some guests mistake this good restaurant for a fast food restaurant. A freshly spread meal is not on the table after 5 minutes.
Nice Hotel to stay in for a while. Has fishing ponds for you to stroll along. Good restaurant, mainly based on fish. Great stay.
The surroundings and the buildings were very beautiful from the outside. The inside of the room in the "Schafstall" was more reminiscent of a youth hostel than a hotel. The beds were unfortunately very small and uncomfortable, the TV had poor sound and was on the "desk" so that only one person in the room could look from the bed. The food in the restaurant was okay, if much too expensive for the quality. We only stayed one night, so it was okay. Oh yes, breakfast was average at best too. Opening times are between 8 and 10. When we got there at 9 o'clock the juice and some other things were already all. Nothing was refilled. The used tables were not cleared either. What a pity.
The food was great. The service was very friendly. We felt very comfortable and would like to come back. 👍
A very nice restaurant and hotel. A picture-perfect property. The staff is very friendly and tried hard. The rooms are also very tidy and clean. A great place to switch off from everyday life. Always happy.
Had two very nice days here. Particularly noteworthy is the idyllic location of the former Cistercian monastery. The monks knew how to live. Accommodation and service were also impeccable. Many thanks in particular to the nice Claudia Schlegel, employee of the service team, who made the guest feel that he was king. In any case, the restaurant is recommended to fish lovers.
The food was delicious, if a little small. But the service was a disaster given the high prices. We had to wait forever to order. Then our food came. However, the side salad was forgotten by all of us and only served later on request. Then a drink was ordered that never came again. Then we said nothing more. The service was so chaotic that the service staff no longer knew which table wanted the bill. They went from table to table and asked. The high prices suggest that everything is going to be reasonably professional.
We stayed in the hotel for one night. Nice, well-kept room. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady who was responsible for the service at breakfast, even though she was solely responsible for serving the guests (which is much more time-consuming in the current Corona period) - more staff would be needed! Otherwise beautifully situated. It tasted very good, but prices for food are relatively high.
Klosterfischer is one of the best restaurants in this area, particularly, for their local trout. Forelle nach Müllerin Art is highly recommended. Reservations are required during peak hours. Service is old-school East-German style, which might feel a bit rough to those who are faint of heart.
We were there for dinner and it was very good. The fish was super flavored and there is also to buy there. There is the restaurant which is a bit more expensive and then a snack with Selbstbedienung. It is all homemade and the Fish swim happily in the ponds in front of the restaurant before they are brought out for dinner. There is a heavenly peace there, you can eat outside and drink. Super! The service is very very nice!
Nice little german restaurant, from own lakes fish very tasty
Incredible environment, tasty food and friendly staff. We will try to return to this lovely place as often as possible.
excelltes Fischessen
Nice location near Blankenburg. Very curious fish nearby. The monastery nearby is worth visiting.
It was good
Lot's of good fish. The ponds are awesome for feeding the fish if you have kids.
Nice rooms, great food, kind staff.
Dinner here without reservation. The place was full. We had fish, of course.. It was very well prepared and the service was lovely. Recommend.
